Research on the Vehicle Steering and Braking Stability Region

Solving the stability region in plane motion of vehicles has become a hot research topic vehicle handling under extreme conditions, but there is still lack on steering and braking conditions. In this paper, five-degree-of-freedom (5DOF) nonlinear dynamic model with torque introduced established, transformed into an equivalent system by using D’Alembert principle. Then, equilibrium points are solved improved hybrid algorithm combining genetic (GA) sequential quadratic programming (SQP) method. According to bifurcation characteristics points, boundary at given initial longitudinal velocity determined, three-dimensional fitted. Finally, original analyzed energy dissipation method, determined point method verified simulation. The results show that as increases, number increase three from one, proposed paper can effectively solve system, solution consistent region. When limited 500 N·m increases 30 m/s 50 m/s, absolute value front wheel angle changes less than 0.02 rad more rad.
